So you've decided to sell you home...                           

So you've decided to sell your home.  Now the next step is always a struggle for homeowners, whether to list the home yourself and save on the sales commissions or list the home with a real estate professional.  The decision doesn't stop there, depending on which option you choose, the decision process can be tough and only you the homeowner can make the choice that is best for you. 

However, as a residential real estate professional and a homeowner myself, I would suggest before you make a final decision, you should interview a few real estate professionals and get the pros and cons of going FSBO or professionally listing it with a real estate professional that you feel comfortable and confident in.  Don't be shy about asking the tough questions such as how would you market my home differently than others? what makes you the right agent for me? how do you get paid? What is the Current Market Value of my home? What can I expect from you if I list with you?

The conversation with a real estate professional before you make the final decision whether to list and who to listed with should be straight forward and comfortable and informative because this sets the tone for the duration of your working relationship, depending on the home and timing of the market when the home is listed, it could take several months for your home to be sold...so ask away and don't hold back!
