Short Sales

Is Short Sale right for you?

There are so many questions in regards to Short Sales in today's market that it is important to know exactly what it is and how to deal with a short sale as a buyer or as a seller.

Working with short sales requires patience and persistence, it is not for everyone.  And not every short sale is a good deal.  I highly recommend soliciting the help of a professional negotiator who is licensed and has the know-how and experience of dealing with banks directly to expedite the negotiation process.

Any individual who is directly or indirectly negotiating with a lender is required to hold an active real estate license or be appropriately licensed by the Department of Financial Institutions.

The negotiators must hold active real estate licenses or be appropriately licensed by the Department of Financial Institutions, and work under the authority of their designated broker. Any negotiators are conducting unlicensed real estate activity, are subject to an order to cease and desist, and can be fined up to $5,000 per violation. If you use unlicensed short sale negotiators, you can be charged with aiding or abetting unlicensed activity and are subject to disciplinary action.
